Lace-up MMA gloves
Yibuko makes MMA gloves that lace up, which nothing else on our wall does. A velcro wrist strap on an MMA glove tends to work loose over a round. Laces pull the whole cuff tight around your wrist and hold it there.
The glove is a 9oz open-palm build in cowhide, with layered foam over the knuckle. It hits pads and the bag properly and leaves your fingers free to grab a wrist, frame or shoot. Being leather, it takes a short break-in and then fits your hand better than it did on day one.
You can't tie laces on your own hand, so Yibuko sells lace converters that let you lock them in without a second person. If you train alone, get them with the gloves.
Known for
- Lace-up MMA gloves in a range of colours
- Lace converters for tying in solo
Sizing & fit notes
- One size. The laces do the fitting, so it sits snug on small and big hands.
- At 9oz it's heavier than a 4oz fight glove. Treat it as a training and sparring glove.
- Leather, so expect a short break-in.
